When and Where
The Dolly Parade will kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday May 2, 2014. Try to come early, because this event will be packed!
The parade route will take Dolly and her friends from Traffic Light #7 on the Pigeon Forge Parkway northbound to Traffic Light #3. As always, the Dolly Parade is totally free to attend!
What to Expect
Dolly Parton serves as the grand marshall of an enormous parade, completed with gorgeous floats, baton twirlers, marching bands, horses, and more. The parade is also a great opportunity to see entertainers from local attractions, as they march down the Parkway with the Queen of Country herself.
Other Chances to See Dolly
If you’re like us, you can’t get enough Dolly! Fortunately, there are other opportunities to see the country music megastar in addition to the parade.
On May 2nd, just before the parade, Ms. Parton will make an appearance at the Dollywood theme park. This is your chance to wish Dolly well before she hits the Parkway to begin her official Homecoming celebration.
If you can’t make it on Friday, don’t worry! Dolly will also be parading around Dollywood on Saturday March 3rd. In years past, Dolly has waived to the crowds as she toured the theme park in her very own horse drawn carriage. The Dollywood parade is dependent on nice weather, so it’s a good idea to call in advance to make sure the event is still going on.
