Woman posing with a wax figure of Johnny Depp How would you like to meet Will Smith? Or maybe you would rather get to know Natalie Portman or Brad Pitt? When you visit the Hollywood Wax Museum you will meet hundreds of celebrities…but they probably won’t have much to say! The next best thing to getting a photo with an actual movie star is posing for a picture with a wax figure of your favorite actor or actress. Featuring everyone from Robert Downey Jr. to Marilyn Monroe, this Pigeon Forge attraction has wax replicas so real, that you’ll fool your friends!

The first Hollywood Wax Museum was opened in 1965 by Spoony Singh, an Indian immigrant and entrepreneur. When Singh visited Hollywood he noticed that hundreds of people would walk up and down the streets searching for famous celebrities. Capitalizing on America’s obsession with movie stars, Singh’s wax museum was an instant success. Today, the Hollywood Wax Museum in Pigeon Forge is run by Singh’s grandson Tej Sundher.

All of the wax figures guests see at the museum are hand made by a team of seven different artists. The entire process of making a single wax figure takes at least three months. You will be astounded when you see how lifelike the wax replicas are. Be sure to bring your camera, because a family photo with Samuel L. Jackson would make an excellent Christmas card!
