When and Where
This year’s market is scheduled to begin on Saturday, May 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in the Arts and Crafts Community, which is located at the covered bridge on 849 Glades Road. The market will continue each Saturday during these same hours through Oct. 17.
A variety of fresh locally-grown vegetables and fruits will be available for purchase, and you can expect something different each week as it becomes time to harvest new crops. Blueberries, okra, tomatoes, apples, squash and peppers are just a few of the fresh items that will be offered. Additionally, there will always be extra goodies available, like homemade baked goods, freshly brewed coffee, and eggs straight from the farm.
Popular band Boogertown Gap and other local artists will be on hand each week to provide excellent musical entertainment for the shoppers. You can also expect to see a variety of artisans demonstrating their crafts. Various vendors will be in attendance to offer such items as jams, jellies, honey, and natural health products.
Local producers will be available to share their knowledge of successful growing methods and special techniques. You can also expect helpful advice related to healthy living issues. Visitors are welcome to bring their favorite recipes to share, and you can expect to get some new recipes for yourself as well!
